A bright attic room under a sloping ceiling with dark old collar beams, built in bookshelves, a wooden sideboard and a striped rug on a pale floor.

We kept the collar beams of the old roof, insulated between the rafters, laid a new floor and built shelves into the low part of the eaves. A roof window lets the daylight in.
