Before you write
Most answers are already in the documentation. These questions come up most often.
Lantern does not start. What should I check first?
Run lantern check-config with your file. It names the line of every error and exits with code 1 if it finds one.
Can I move results to a new server?
Yes. Stop Lantern, copy the database file and the configuration, then start it on the new server.
Is there a hosted version?
No. Lantern runs on your own machines so that results and addresses stay with you.
How do I report a security problem?
Write to the security address above, not to the public issue tracker. We confirm within two working days.
Does Lantern exist?
