Notifications go out when a check changes state: from healthy to failing and back. While a check keeps failing, Lantern repeats the message every repeat interval, by default every hour.

Lantern sends a POST request with a JSON body to the URL. Answer with a status code from 200 to 299; anything else is retried three times.
