With a loan from a regional ethical bank, they raised the 1.4 million euros needed to buy the house on Schleusengasse in August.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Same stage, new rules<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme stays as it was, with five concerts a week and a free jam session on Tuesdays. What changes is that members vote on the budget once a year, and musicians now get a fixed fee in addition to the door money.<\/p>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We did not buy a building. We bought the right to keep playing here.<\/p>\n<cite>Jonah Pietsch, double bassist and chair of the cooperative<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The next steps<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cellar needs a new ventilation system before next summer.
